Connect your QuickBooks company.
Your firm’s connection starts inside PlaintiffDesk. Have a firm global administrator and a QuickBooks company administrator ready before you begin.
Before you start
Use a PlaintiffDesk firm global administrator account with Accounting Portal access. The person authorizing the connection in Intuit must be an administrator of the intended QuickBooks Online company.
Keep your Intuit password, security codes, and developer credentials in Intuit. Do not paste them into a case, support message, or this website.
Connect step by step
- Sign in to PlaintiffDesk. Use your normal work account and select the correct firm workspace.
- Open Accounting Portal. Select Connect QuickBooks. If you cannot see the portal or button, confirm your access and integration availability with your firm administrator.
- Authorize in Intuit. Sign in to Intuit, select the correct QuickBooks Online company, and review the requested access before confirming.
- Review the connection. Return to your firm’s Accounting Portal and check that the intended company is connected.
- Check your accounting selections. Review the accounts and linked data fields available in your firm’s portal. Confirm the destination, amounts, and data you intend to send before submitting an accounting action.
- Verify a small first transaction. Check the result in both PlaintiffDesk and QuickBooks before continuing with more records.
Keep case records in PlaintiffDesk
Use the integration for the accounting information your firm needs. Do not include health records, protected health information (PHI), privileged case documents, or unnecessary client details in descriptions, notes, or attachments sent to QuickBooks.
Check the company, accounts, amounts, and field selections before sending any data. Do not assume that connecting imports or synchronizes every record.
Reconnect carefully
If a connection needs authorization again, return to your firm’s Accounting Portal and follow the available connection prompt. Verify the company and configuration again before resuming transfers.
If the wrong company is connected, disconnect it in Intuit before authorizing a replacement. Do not resend records until you have checked for duplicates.
