About PlaintiffDesk

A case management system created from the need for simpler workflows, practical customization, and easier access to firm data.

Built because the workflow needed to be easier to shape.

PlaintiffDesk began from a practical idea: improve firm workflow by making case data easier to reach and daily processes easier to shape. The firm behind the case management system found that its previous tool made custom processes too complicated, kept important data too far away, and cost too much for a system that still did not meet expectations. Development began in early February 2025, and PlaintiffDesk was released for internal firm use on August 4, 2025. After more than a year of daily usage and feedback, the team is preparing PlaintiffDesk for other firms that need a case management system simple enough to adopt, detailed enough for real legal operations, and flexible enough to improve long-term work processes.

The goal is not to force every firm into one rigid process. PlaintiffDesk is shaped around the belief that legal teams should be able to see the record, define the workflow, and improve the way work moves without fighting the system that is supposed to support them.

Simple where it should be. Detailed where it matters.

One working case record

Contacts, intake information, documents, activity, deadlines, and other configured case details stay connected to the matter they support.

Firm-shaped operations

Roles, case types, fields, folders, templates, reports, and working views can reflect the firm’s established responsibilities and terminology.

Assistance in context

Jane can work from authorized case information and selected sources while keeping drafts, citations, and consequential actions available for review.
